Retail Price Manipulation..

Welcome to the second installment of this series, which has been pretty popular, I can imagine because it speaks the truth. But first off, just an update on the CVS incident from the last post, currently we have posted a case with the Better Business Bureau and are pending an acceptable response from CVS pharmacy corporate..

I will post the results as they become available...
First off today , let's start with another fast food chain that likes to play games...

Remember they had the old 79/89/99 cent value menu? Well, they have since completely eliminated the 79 cent portion of this menu and moved other items to the higher end portion. My favorite here is the Chicken Burrito. This item became quite popular at 89 or 99 cents depending on the region. When the 79 cent menu portion was eliminated, they also eliminated the Chicken Burrito from the value menu portion altogether, placing it on the regular menu at $1.29. So what you're seeing there is about a 40% price increase. So in addition to the about 15-20% price increase on everything they did leave on that menu, they replaced the 89 cent chicken burrito which had good quality for the price, with a cheese roll. A cheese roll. That spray gun, nasty ass cheez whiz slapped into a cold tortilla for 89 cents. Yum. I think I'll pass on that garbage. Next up once again...(they will be here alot I can see it already)..

Here's the most recent price fixes and increases I have noticed in Wal-Mart today...
Great Value Cream Cheese - Was .98 , Now $1.43 - 45.9 % increase.
Philadelphia Cream Cheese - Was $1.22, Now $2.23 - 81.9% increase.
Great Value Hot Dog & Hamburger Buns - Was .98, Now $1.25 - 27.6 % increase.
Kraft American Cheese Slices - Was $1.25, Now $2.08 - 66.4% increase.
Great Value White Bread - Was $1.00, Now $1.18 - 18.0% increase.
Dove Trial Size Shampoo - Was .97, Now $1.47 - 51.5% increase. This we believe is due to the $1.00 off any Dove item coupon that has been issued through All You Magazine.
These are just a minute example of some of the small in number but huge in percentage increases that Wal Mart decides to pass on to its' brainwashed customers t boost their stock value. Next time you go shopping there, try and by the same things you usually do, and see how much your bill actually increases. The percentage week to week is astonishing. I know my percentage of shopping there has fallen about 98% since last year. See previous blog for why its' believed they are doing these things. Here's an epic Wal Mart strategy currently in progress to serve their sheep shoppers with a good one. Remember this soda line that most Wal Marts carry?..

The Sam's Club Soda product line. Sure it's not the best quality of soda for taste, but at its' 74 cent price tag, it's affordable for most people, especially with kids, for parties, etc. Well, at least where I am at, they have been "out of stock" of this item for weeks on end. But, as per previous post, there is PLENTY of $1.25 two liter name brand soda ALWAYS on hand. Doesn't that seem a little odd to you? That a Wal Mart/Sam's Club produced product has been cut off from being sent to stores while the price of the "name" brand colas has been increased 25% or more during the hottest part of the year and people have parties and are thirsty? While you are in Wal Mart, you really don't feel like driving around to get cheaper soda, so a large percentage of of people just pick up the expensive soda, because they are "forced" to by their own unawareness. The only large percentage there is the amount of profits being put in Wal Mart's pockets. To buy more stuff from slave labor China to sell in its' household section. A formal complaint explaining just this situation has been sent to Wal Mart corporate and we are awaiting response.
I'd love to hear how they explain this one away other than the obvious...
So my friends thank you for reading, keep your head up in the stores and check for things that don't seem right. Shop around to different stores, and make educated choices. It's your money. And your right to spend it where you get the most for it.
Stay tuned!
