Wal Mart Price Gouge Of the Week..

They never stop and we won't stop calling them out..
Country Crock butter large tub:
Price last month: $1.98
Price three weeks ago: $2.48
Price last week : $2.98
Price this week : $3.29.
For the record, there is a .40 Unilever coupon off of this item that expired today 8/28/2011, we are assuming that is the reason for these price increases. A mere 66% price increase from one month to the next. That's all. The only way to stop them is to shop around and not purchase items that they gouge prices on through awareness and effort. Otherwise, they will continue to prey and take advantage of the lazy and uninformed.

Updates & CVS reply..

Welp, it's been a while since I last updated, so, here's an update:
The Better Business Bureau contacted CVS headquarters and their response was that "there is no conspiracy against people that use coupons" and that they "will be in contact with the stores in your area to make sure they have sale items." If you just google CVS complaints you will see this is a corporate-wide issue, so I'm holding my breath on a positive resolution there.
Glacier has been contacted regarding them withholding the .55/1 vitamin water coupons, and a response is currently being awaited on my that company's representative...
Also, after contacting Wal Mart corporate email - The Sam's club soda magically reappeared two days later on the shelves and has been in stock ever since. No reply was made by corporate either. I guess the actions taken by the store spoke for themselves...more to come!

McDonald's strikes again...

There's just so much on them also. Yesterday's trip also noted that the old Sausage McGriddle sandwich that was on the Dollar Menu is now on the regular menu for $1.39. 39% increase. Add an egg? The sandwich now becomes $2.79. 99.9% increase for ONE sloppy burnt fried egg. Amazing. More to come folks..

Taco Bell Update. It Gets worse.

Before I forget, today we went to a Taco Bell while visiting family in the hospital. Only to notice the Chicken Burrito has gone up in price from originally 89 cents to now $1.79!!! That brings the total price increase now to 100%!! Also, they are currently advertising Burrito Supremes for 99 cents on TV. Went to order them through the drive through and guess what. This is something I've never seen before in any fast food establishment. There's a 2 per person limit. And of course, it's advertised absolutely nowhere in store or on the drive through sign. What if you were buying for the whole family? You're screwed? Also, the "Big Box" meals are now $5.99 and still being advertised all over the place as $5.00. Another 19.9% increase. This is just let another example of big box chains taking it to the people. More to come on the latest coupon devaluation and limitations being imposed by Unilever, it's getting out of hand folks...
